It has been 30 years since the first official Fairport reunion festival during which time the event has grown to become one of the most important in the summer calendar. Over the years the line-up has become more eclectic whilst still embracing the ethos of the original event. The current issue of R2 celebrates the festival's 30th anniversary and is filled with articles and interviews with many of the artists appearing. Our free cover CD - Un-Herd 22 - features tracks from these artists, allowing you to reacquaint yourself with old favourites and become familiar with new sounds before packing your tent.

Whilst Cropredy might be the focus of the new issue we, as usual, offer a whole lot more besides. Those bluesy sons of Akron - The Black Keys - share their thoughts, as does Scottish songstress Sandi Thom. Ian McNabb, Wlilly Vlautin and perennial favorites Shooglenifty add flavour and spice to an already heady mix.
